Solomon's Seal Root

Element: Air
Planet: Saturn, Jupiter
Zodiac: Libra, Capricorn
Ritual uses include: Justice; Court Case; Truth; Wisdom; Commanding
Solomon's Seal gets its name from the myth that the legendary King placed his Seal on the plant to mark it as a plant of spiritual value; the stump of the plant looks like a hexagram. Most frequently, it is used in court case rituals. It has the protective, justice oriented attributes of Jupiter. But it is best used when the person is innocent, since it is an herb of truth. For that matter, it is said that Solomon's Seal Root will lock in whatever has been done so that it cannot be undone. Some say the herb smells like popped corn, but the aroma is really a bit closer to the smell of peanut butter. One of the better smelling magical roots, for sure.
